During the German occupation of Poland, a small German air base was situated here. It was attacked by a group of Armia Krajowa soldiers in the night of 3 on 4 May 1944 and 5 enemy airplanes were destroyed. The Młociny air base became scene of fierce fighting during the Warsaw Uprising of 1944.
This memorial stone commemorates the Polish soldiers who fell in the fighting for this air base during the Second World War.
