Memorial International Brigades Bolton

This memorial on the building of the Bolton Socialist Club commemorates the volunteers from Bolton who fought in the International Brigades on the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War. One of them, James Alwyn, was killed in action in the Battle of Jarama in February 1937.
