3rd Mountain Division Memorial

The 3rd Mountain Division was founded by Royal Decree on the 1st of March 1937. This elite unit of the Romanian Army fought both on the Eastern Front and Rumanian Western Front. Since October 6th, 1942, the division was placed under the general Mociulschi's command until the 8th of April 1945, when Mociulschi became the CO of the entire Romanian Mountain Corps.
