This memorial, within the St. Peters Church, commemorates Captain John Draper R.N.. Until his death, on 23 February 1813, he was for 18 months the agent of the prisoner-of-war camp at Norman-Cross. The memorial was given by French prisoners-of-war, in gratitude for their good treatment by him.
This memorial also commemorates Private Charles Langford, who gave his life on 28 March 1900 in the South-African War (2nd Boer War).
