War Memorial St Michael's Mount

This window and plaque commemorate the men of St Michael's Mount who died, and those who served, in the First World War.

This window is dedicated in thanksgiving for the victory granted by God and to commemorate the services of the men of St Michael's Mount in the navy and army in the Great War 1914–1919 (names) Who Gave Their Lives (names)

This memorial commemorates Edward & Piers Stuart St Aubyn, who were killed in the First World War.

Plaque 1:
To the Glory of God and in memory of Major the Honble. Edward Stuart St Aubyn late Kings Royal Rifle Corps res of officers G.S.O. grade 2 2nd son of John and Elizabeth Clementina Lord and Lady St Levan born at Balls Park Hertford 30th Oct 1858 Served in the Kings Royal Rifle Corps 1879-91 Egyptian War 1882 S. African War 1899-1900 The Great War 1914-15 Lost While serving as king's messenger in the S.S. Persia torpedoed in the Mediterranean 31st Dec. 1915

Plaque 2:
To the Glory of God and in memory of the Honble. Piers Stewart St Aubyn Lieutenant King's Royal Rifle Corps 5th son of John and Elizabeth Clementina Lord and Lady St Levan born at Pendrea Gulval 11th April 1871 served in Thorneycroft's Horse S Africa 1901 in King's Royal Rifle Corps the Great War Killed in Action at Gheluvelt Flanders 31st Oct. 1914
