Kapa Kapa Trail - Jaure

The U.S. Army reached Jaure in the period 20-28 October 1942 and split the Kapa Kapa Trail in two directions. Jaure was also the site where Lt. Col. Henry A. Geerds suffered a heart attack and was replaced by Major Herbert SMith.
