Crash Site P-39D-BE Airacobra 41-6982
P-39D-BE Airacobra # 41-6982 force landed on the beach off Hula on 30 April 1942. It sustained damage but was overall intact. A team of specialists repaired the plane on site, before it successfully took off via a make-shift runway on 15 October 1942.
