German Bunker Complex Bergen Airfield

This bunker complex was built in World War II by the German occupiers, as a defence point for the then Bergen airfield used by them. This complex can be found to the south of the airfield.

It is on private land and is enclosed, so unfortunately visitors cannot walk among the bunkers. The complex has been purchased by a foundation with the aim of making the front bunker and ammunition storage and other small elements visible again (and burying the bunkers again) and returning them to their former state.
