On 11 May 1894, Anton Mussert was born in this house. He was the leader of the N.S.B. (the Dutch National-Socialist Movement) before and during World War II. On 7 May 1946, he was executed.
During World War II, the house became a pilgrimage for members of the NSB, who came to see the house from the outside. In that time, an other family lived in it. The house was used to hide people, sometimes even when German soldiers were quartered in it.
