Dannemare General Cemetery contains a war grave of an unknown Flight Sergeant of the Royal Airforce. Next to the headstone is a memorial with the following text:

'1940 - 1945"

‘Her hviler 2 allierede flyvere de valdt ogsaa i kampen for Danmarks frihed den ene hjemfort til USA’.

‘Here rest 2 allied airmen who died fighting for Denmark's freedom, one of whom was repatriated to the USA’.
