Memorial Russian Landing Forces Feodosiya

The German army captured Feodosiya in November 1941. From 26 to 30 December 1941, the Red Army launched a massive counteroffensive and recaptured the city. This offensive went into history books as the largest amphibious assault of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The Germans retook Feodosiya on 18 january 1942, 19 days later.

This memorial commemorates the Soviet participants of this landing operation.
