Memorial Captain Peter M. Churchill SOE

The French text on the memorial is:

In the memory of Captain Peter M. Churchill,
(1909-1972), agent of the
British Special Operations Executive.

Responsible for the Spindle network,
parachuted on the Semnoz
in the night 14 to 15 April 1943.

He was arrested the next day in Saint-Jorioz
with his liaison officer, Odette Samson.
Both were deported to Germany.
