Remembrance Stone Battle Of The Bulge Werbomont

Remembrance stone at the place where the Generals RIDGWAY and GAVIN settled the headquarters of the 82e US Airborne Division during the Battle of the Bulge.

The text on the monument: "IT IS WITH SINCERE / GRATITUDE, WE, THE PEOPLE / OF THE VILLAGE OF VERBOMONT, / HEREBY REMEMBER THE / SOLDIERS OF THE 82ND / AIRBORNE DIVISION, WHO / FOUGHT AND GAVE ALL FOR / THE FREEDOM OF BELGIUM, / ON OUR SOUL DURING THE / BATTLE OF THE BULGE, IN / AND AROUND OUR VILLAGE / OF VERBOMONT, DECEMBER / 18-19, 1944."
