Memorial Complex "Battery A"

A battery equiped with 130mm guns of the cruiser "Aurora" was positioned at "Crow Hill" in July 1941. This battery was known as "Battery A". The hill was captured by the German army after heavy fighting. The Germans turned the hill into a fortified stronghold and began shelling Leningrad from here. "Crow Hill" was recaptured by the Red Army in January 1944 after fierce fighting.

The memorial
This memorial was erected in 1984 on the former location of gun position 1 and commemorates the 200 artillery men of this battery. One of the memorial stones at the site reads:
"You are immortal, as immortal Motherland".

A number of Soviet soldiers and officers are also buried here.
