Monoitu Mission
Monoitu Mission was bombed by the Allied forces during the Second World War. In the middle of 1945, it was used as Japanese 4th Heavy Artillery Regiment headquarters and was ultimately assaulted by the Australian Army 24 Infantry Battalion on 10 June 1945.
