Invasion Beach Mutupina Point

Australian Army 25th Battalion, "D" Company landed here on 25 January 1945. The area was developed into a rest area for Australian soldiers who fought in Bougainville. The No. 109 Clearing Station was also established here.

Prince Henry, Duke of Gloucester visited the site on 4 July 1945.
