Crash Site P-38G Lightning
P-38G Lightning crashed on 14 February 1943. Its pilot was captured and temporally interned at Kahili Airfield, where he had an encounter with Zero pilots who were impressed by the young American pilot and didn't bother too much with him. The American did not survive the war.
