Memorial Crashed Lancaster Bomber W4960

This memorial at Sluipwijk churchyard commemorates the crewmembers, two Britisch and five Australian, of a Lancaster W4960 bomber which crashed near this location on 12 June 1943.

The crew was buried on the local cemetery. In 1953, they were reburied on Jonkersbos War Cemetery.
