Soviet War Cemetery Daugavpils

This war cemetery contains the graves of more than 578 Soviet soldiers and officers who fell between 1941 and 1945. The central memorial stands on a hill and contains the following inscriptions:

Side left

"Eternal glory to them who fell for the freedom and independence of our Motherland."

Central

"Eternal glory to the fallen heroes of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945."

Side right

"Eternal glory to them who fell in the war against the enemy and sacrificed their lifes for the freedom and well-being of our Motherland."
