Memorial To the Heroes of Sart-Tilman
This very beautiful monument is at the end of a no through road on the left. And recalls the Heroic defense of Sart-Tilman, 5th and 6th August 1914. The Belgian defense consisted of, among others, the 9th, 14th, 15th Brigades and the Fortress Army of Liège, all of which are named on the Monument.
Inscription Monument.
" These Heroes have taken the Palm of Martyrdom and the Victorious Laurel wreath of the homeland, from this morning. They have made a stronghold of their Heart on this Holy mountain and their Soul is still watching over us ".
