born 1914 in Ginneken and Bavel killed 2-5-1945 in Osnabrück.
Machiel was employed as a sergeant pilot with the 320 (Dutch) Squadron Coastal Command at airbase Dunsfold.
To the left of the memorial is a separate grave of Anthony Flanaghan, born 1922 in Tuam, Ireland killed 29-10-1944 in Ulvenhout ..
Anthony was employed as a soldier in the fourth battalion of The Lincolnshire Regt.
During the journey through Ulvenhout, he was killed by a German sniper.
