War Memorial Battle of Schiplaken and Belgian War Graves
The monument commemorates the battle of Schiplaken between 20 August and 12 September 1914. The Belgian army had to retreat, leaving about 100 dead. Of these, 90 are buried in the churchyard in Schiplaken.
