In Ouddorp a dummy airfield was build as a diversion for the real existing airfields in this case airport Waalhaven.A stretch of 80 meters wide and 750 meters long was flattened for this purpose.The airfield was fitted with a drainage system and runway lighting.A rail system fitted with lights simulated taxiing airplanes.Wooden airplanes and dummy hangars completed the scenery.The bunker made lighting signals and completed the deception game.

The effect of these dummy airfield is some times doubtful.The dummy airfield in Ouddorp was a regular target until the end of 1943.
