Victoria Garden of Remembrance, in The Necropolis Springvale, is one of the 6 Gardens of Remembrance in Australia (one in each state) for the victims of World War I who are buried in Australia but which graves could not be maintained properly.
Of the total over 3000 victims of World War I buried in Australia, nearly 2000 are commemorated in the Gardens of Remembrance.
Besides that, there are also names of servicemen whose graves in Australia have disappeared. These people are only registrated in the Gardens of Remembrance. For the Victoria Garden of Remembrance there are 10 people from World War I and 3 from World War II.
There are also memorial tiles for victims of other wars:
30 May 2011 , Lieutenant Marcus Sean Case, aged 27
