Bunkermuseum Antwerpen

This is a German bunker restored to its original state, built in spring 1943 by the German army as part of the Atlantic Wall project. The fortification fulfilled an important role as headquarters of the 89th Armoured Corps, responsible for the Atlantic Wall in Belgium and Zeeland.

After the war, it fell into oblivion until the Civil Defence wanted to house a command post there in the 1970s, which ultimately did not happen.

The v.z.w. Bunkermuseum Antwerpen restored the bunker largely to its original condition and introduces visitors to the original pieces of bunker equipment, Also the history of the air war with especially the V-weapons on Antwerp are highlighted through many small to large objects.

For current visiting hours, please visit the website of the museum.
