Memorial and War Graves Hudson Transport Airplane

This Monument consists of a granite stone cross and six tombstones near the remains of an aircraft. This Hudson transporter of the RAF crashed at this place on the 21st of March, 1945. In the accident all 3 Belgian and 3 British crewmembers lost their lives.

They are buried here. Hotton War Cemetery contains three special memorials, a bit separated from the other graves, to commemorate the British crewmembers.

A few years ago there were no fences and the wings, with propellors, lies left en right from the graves.

The monument is on the AP route, the Luxembourg system of pedestrian trails. Park at the church in Boxhorn and follow the blue triangles. It's a pleasant 30 min walk from Boxhorn village but it's right on the trail.
