Fort Knox II

Fort Knox II is now partly reconstructed and a "state and national historic site"
The fort was operational before and at the beginning of the War of 1812. During the war it turned out that the fort was too far away to adequately defend Vincennes. The fort was demolished and later rebuilt closer to the town.
