Located in an original barracks building, this museum focuses on the history of Fort Sullivan.
This fort was built in 1808. In July 1814, the fort was surrendered to a British Fleet. The British renamed the fort, Fort Sherbrooke. On 30 June 1818, Moose Island, the town, and the fort were returned to the United States. From then on, the fort was named Fort Sullivan.
