In Groenekan, municipality of De Bilt, there is a monument in memory of the crash of a B17 on May 28, 1944. The monument consists of counterfeit steel profiles of parts of a B17.

seven are taken prisoner of war.

The B17 was part of the USA 388th Bomb Group, stationed at RAF Knettishall. There is also a memorial.
