V1 Storage Facility Renuscure

At the village Renescure along the D406 nearby Bloemstraete are these enormous storage locations for V1 flying bombs type Fieseler Fi 103 (also known as FZG 76).

In this area the Germans made a storage facility with more then 350 buildings on 1 square kilometre of land. They were build between the local houses and woods so they had a natural camouflage.
Those buildings where made of "Formsteine" (pre-fabricated blocks) and where not really "bunkers" like the one's we know.
Nowadays the storage buildings are used by the local farmers for there business.
