Municipal Cemetery Leuven

The cemetery of Leuven contains numerous graves of Belgian military and civilian victims of both world wars. The cemetery contains also 5 Commonwealth burials of the First World War and 21 burials of the First World War. There are also the graves of two Dutch war victims of the Second World War.
There is a memorial with a crypt where 200 Belgian soldiers and civilians of he First World War are buried. Furthermore, there are monuments for the political prisoners of the Second World War and the war veterans of both world wars. There is also a monument to commemorate the Soviet soldiers who died at Leuven in the Second World War.
There are several plots of honour, one for the resistance fighters and the political prisoners of the Second World War and plots with the graves of war veterans of the First and the Second World War.
