On February 25, 1945, the aircraft, the B-24J + 42-51258 "Beverly Jean" of the 44th Bomb Group 8th Air Force, 66th Squadron, crashed on their way back from Aschaffenburg, Germany due to a lack of fuel. The plane was probably shot at by a Flak. The plane crashed near the town of Franière in Belgium.
All crew members managed to jump out of the plane in time.
