Tacambora Square Oudenaarde

The monument of Tacambaro square commemorates the Belgian volunteers who fell in the Battle of Tacambaro in 1865.
There are several war memorials at this square. The monument for the victims of both world wars, the monument for the deported of the First World War and the "Voie Sacré" of the First World War.
The American Battle Monument commemorates the American soldiers who fought in the Battle of the Scheldt in the First World War.
There is also a memorial of the Liberation of Oudenaarde by British troops on 5 september 1944.
On this location is also a air raid shelter from the Second World War.
