Memorial Crew Lancaster III LM327

A stela for the crew of a Lancaster bomber (LM 327) which crashed in the night of June 24th to the 25th, 1943, returning from a sortie against Wuppertal. It was part of 97 squadron (and, as such, part of the pathfinder force).
Identification isn't 100 % certain, but apparently the bomber crashed into a building in Gelsenkirchen (the Kolpinghaus), exploded and burnt up. The memorial stela is not a gravestone, as no mortal remains are buried beneath it. It was placed in the catholic cemetary (St. Augustinus) in the Kirchstraße, abou half a kilometer from the c'rash site.
