Memorial Fallen Civilians Otranto

This memorial for the men of the town who lost their lives in WW1 has been placed in the wall of the old town fortifications.

The inscription translates as:
"In the presence of this sea,
full of history and glory,
the heroes of the old age and of the new age
come together in the sacred ideal of the homeland".
