The Heeresmunitionsanstalt Straß (short: Muna Strass) in Strass, a district of Nersingen was an ammunition facility for the completion of ammunition and a storage depot for ammunition, V2 missiles and chemical weapons during World War II. From 1951, the area served as a training ground for the U.S. Armed Forces and later parts of the newly established Bundeswehr as a mobilization base. Military use has been suspended.
