Memorial Propeller P-47 Thunderbold Veulen

This monument, a fragment of a propeller P-47 Thunderbold, was erected in remembrance of pilot Gordon DIARD and all the others victims of the Second World War.
The P-47 Thunderbold crashed for unknown reason near this location on 24 October 1944, the pilot Lieutenant Gordon DIARD died in this accident.
