Memorials War Victims Heist

In the St. Antonius Abt church there are two plaques in memory of the fallen in the First and Second World War.

1914-1918

1914 - For the permanent Memory of our Soldiers who fell for the Fatherland.

Photo medals with the names of the fallen, their function in the army and the place and date of death.


1940-1945

"To the lasting remembrance of the Heistenaren who lost us as a result of the Second World War".

Names of the victims of bombing, shelling, weapons of war and naval mines. In addition, the names of the fallen, executed, political prisoners, resistance and claimed.
