War Memorial Baarle

In addition to the side wall of the church in Baarle, hamlet of Drongen, there are 2 memorial stones with names:

A stone cross (1979) with the text:
"Blessed memory by the grateful inhabitants of Baarle
dedicated to the brave heroes fallen in the field of honor and
died here in the St. Regina almshouse during the unjust war "

During the last days of World War I, the house of God served as an emergency field hospital for the Belgian army.

A plaque on the side wall:
"In the blessed memory of the heroes of Baarle
Gloriously fallen for the fatherland during the war of 1914-1918 "

Above it a helmet with inscription: "1914 - 1918 Oudstrijder"
