Funkfeuer Leuchtfeuer Küvertype 408
This bunker housed the equipment of the light and radio beacon (Funkfeuer Leuchtfeuer) that each radar rack was equipped with. These beacons served as navigation aids for the night fighter pilots who were active in the airspace above the radar position. The beacon emitted a flashing light signal and / or a signal at a specific radio frequency.
This bunker is part of the German radarposition Tiger from World War II. This site is now housed in a museum. More information about this museum can be found at https://bunkersterschelling.nl/
