Notstrombunker Küvertype 431
The Notstrom bunker for an aggregate and fuel was somewhat comparable to an engine room in a ship. The generator had a power of 70 Kilo Volt Ampere. Enough to power 20 households nowadays. For a cool airflow, ventilation channels were installed in the walls at different heights. Cable ducts had been cut into the floors over which wooden decks lay to allow the generator to run along.
This bunker is part of the German radarposition Tiger from World War II. This site is now housed in a museum. More information about this museum can be found at https://bunkersterschelling.nl/
