Crash Site Short Stirling LJ480

In the Foret Domaine d'Hourtin just behind the campground Le Pin Sec is a monument which commemorates the crash of Short Stirling LJ480 on March 12, 1944. The entire crew was killed in action and is buried at the Communal Cemetery in Naujac-sur-Mer.

To get to the monument you need to walk down the sandpath on the right of the main entrance of the campground. When the fence of the campground ends you will see the monument to the left.
