Memorial Sint-Jacob-op-Koudenberg

The St. James's Church - main church of the diocese of the Belgian Armed Forces - is now the parish church of the Royal Palace. In the choir there is a royal box which gives direct access to the garden of the Royal Palace.
Numerous important ceremonies took place in and around this church: a number of princes and princesses were baptized, and a number of funeral services were also held.
On July 21, 1831, Leopold I, the first king of the Belgians, took the constitutional oath here.

In the central aisle of this church is a plaque with the names of the parishioners who lost their lives for the fatherland during the First World War.
