Blosville Temporary Cemetery Memorial

Just outside Blosville on the Rue de la Libération with the crossroad of the Rue d'Eturville is a monument commemorating the American cemetery which was placed there just after D-Day. Between June 1944 and 1948 6000 American soldiers have been buried here. After 1948 all bodies were reburied at Colleville-sur-Mer American cemetery or were transferred back to the United States.
