Born of the Liberty Road - Kilometre 1106

This is one of the markers of Liberty Road, the way the Allieds took from Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy, through Northern France to Bastogne. Every kilometre on this track a marker is located.

The marker stands next to a M10 tank vehicle, once used in the liberation of Arlon on September 10, 1944. This monument is an idea of the Syndicat d'Ínitative de Arlon and its inauguration took place on September 24, 1984.
