War Memorial Victims Liberation Beerse
During the liberation battles in September and October 1944, heavy fighting against the Germans took place here in Beerse by British and Polish soldiers assisted by men of the Secret Army of Turnhout, Beerse and Rijkevorsel.
This memorial commemorates the 21 Polish and 6 British soldiers who died in battle here.
