MK5 Centurion Battle Tank Northampton
The Centurion tank was the primary British army main battle tank of the post-Second World War period. The prototype was introduced in 1945. It weighs 51 tonne when fully loaded and had a crew of four. It is known as one of the most successful post-war tank designs. Production ran into the 60's. This type of tank saw combat until the late 80's.
This tank was used by the Australian army in Vietnam. Due to damage by a landmine it is now preserved as a monument.
