The Welsh National Memorial Park commemorates all the men and women from Wales who were involved in the First World Wqar. This monument was built in the area just before Langemaerck where the 38th Welsh Division helped to start the bloody battle for Passchendaele on 31 July 1917.
The monument in the form of a dragon, the symbol of Wales, was founded in 2014 and was the result of a Flemish-Welsh campaign by volunteers.
The following memorial stones are part of the memorial park:
- 53rd (Welsh) Division
- Welsh Guards
- Royal Welsh Fusiliers
- South Wales Borderers
- Welsh Regiment
- Monmouthshire Regiment
