War Memorial Modave

Monument to the victims of the First and Second World War, sculpture by G. Hubin, inaugurated September 10, 1922.

On the front of the column:
"To the children
from Modave and Linchet
died for the fatherland "

On the sides of the column are 15 and 16 names respectively.
At the bottom of the pedestal are 5 names with date of birth and death. Concerns victims of the First World War 1914-1918.

Next to the central part are 2 stelae:
Left :
War 1940-1945
To our dead in captivity, 2 names
To our returned prisoners, 20 names

Right :
"To our martyrs
executed in 1944, 3 names
To our volunteers, 2 names
To our soldiers cgne 1940, 18 names

There is another plate in front of the monument:
The sections F.N.C. and F.N.A.P.G.
In recognition
to the civilian and military victims
of the two wars "
