On Friday, November 10, 1944, at 26 Anna Paulownastraat in Groningen, the S.D. raided. Jannes Noorman, the submerged Marechaussee Jan Josephus Hoeder, the resistance member Ares Gerrit Dijkstra and the dropped secret agent Harmen Koopmans were arrested. A day later, Hendrik Jan Droppers was met by the Security Service at the same address. He brought a list of names of Marechaussees who were on the side of the Germans.
Secret agent Harm Koopmans was transported to Apeldoorn on March 8 and shot dead there as a Todeskandidat because of the assassination attempt on Rauter.
On August 30, 1948, he was posthumously awarded the Bronze Lion by Royal Decree.
